Another study abroad experience may be able to fit into your academic schedule. Whether it's a full semester or short-term program, each academic year has unique opportunities. 

Peace Corps
Want to make a long-term difference in the developing world? The Peace Corps might be for you! Founded in 1961 under the idea of citizen diplomacy, the Peace Corps places Americans around the world to work on projects grounded in social and economic development while becoming a part of the surrounding community. Placements are typically two years after three months of training. Since its founding, over 220,000 volunteers have served in over 141 countries.

Fulbright U.S. Student Programs
Considered one of the most prestigious scholarships in the world, the Fulbright program is a merit-based grant focused on international education exchange. Students typically apply to either teach English abroad or to conduct research as part of their graduate degree. 

Teach English Abroad
There is great demand around the world for English teachers. Some opportunities only require teachers to be a native English speaker with others will require additional education such as TESOL certification or an undergraduate degree in education. Always make sure to properly research teaching opportunities.

Volunteer Abroad
Volunteer programs can be found globally. Opportunities should always be properly researched.
